The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for CBD Products has called on the government to establish a single industry-representative body to guide the future framework of CBD in the UK, highlighting the damage that is being done to the industry due to a lack of clear regulation and guidelines.

The newly proposed entity would seek to bring together the views of over 700 businesses from the UK CBD industry and address the negative impact of current regulations and the difficulty of translating industry perspectives to government.

The APPG, alongside leading trading bodies within the UK CBD industry, hopes that the creation of this new, simplified line of communication will allow the UK to become the first country to regulate the CBD market, and lay the groundwork for a lucrative long term cannabis industry in the UK.
